Gruppo Davines was founded in 1983 in Parma by the Bollati family, who began formulating hair products in a garage before creating an international sustainable cosmetics brand. The Davines Village, the group's headquarters, houses alongside its offices and production the Giardino Scientifico, an approximately 3,000-square-metre botanical garden grown according to organic-farming principles, where researchers study plants and essences for future formulas. The complex also includes EROC, the European centre dedicated to regenerative organic agriculture born from a partnership with the American Rodale Institute. A certified B Corp since 2016, the Group now operates in 90 countries with the Davines and comfort zone brands, carrying its idea of sustainable beauty well beyond the Parma factory's walls.
