Workshop Ceramiche Nicola Fasano

The Fasano family has worked ceramics in Grottaglie for eighteen generations, and since 1964 the Nicola Fasano company has produced entirely on site, using local clay following the techniques handed down by the town's capasonara and faenzara traditions. The workshop stands in the famous Quartiere delle Ceramiche, some fifty workshops carved into the rock, unique in the Italian craft landscape. An underground exhibition traces the evolution of ceramic techniques from 1623 to today.
