In the Palazzo Scarampi in Cairo Montenotte, the Ferrania Film Museum tells the story of the plant founded in 1917 as an explosives factory and converted after the First World War to producing photographic and film stock, becoming Ferrania in 1938. Six themed rooms, including "La fabbrica sensibile" and "Made in Ferrania", display machinery, advertising archives, patents and the collection of the historic Ferrania magazine. A museum that restores the place of this Ligurian factory, alongside names like Kodak, Agfa and Ilford, in the world history of the image.
