Active since 1956 in Calamandrana, in the province of Asti, the Chiarlo family's winery produces some of Piedmont's most representative wines: DOCG Barolo and Barbaresco, Barbera d'Asti and Nizza, and Gavi. The vineyards extend across the best-suited crus of the Langhe and Monferrato, including Cannubi and Cerequio for Barolo, Asili for Barbaresco and La Court for Barbera di Nizza. The Calamandrana winery, known as the Cantina di Cristallo for its glass architecture, is joined by two other production sites in Gavi and in the Barolo area. Guided visits with tasting are available by appointment, including e-bike tours through the vineyards.
