The museum, opened in 2002 on the top floor of the plant, displays more than 500 pieces tracing the output of the Grazia manufactory from the nineteenth century to the 1960s, one of the Deruta kilns active since the sixteenth century. The route opens with medieval ceramic fragments found near the factory and continues through rooms preserving the remains of the first kiln, dating to the late nineteenth century. A section is dedicated to Ubaldo Grazia and Alpinolo Magnini, who in the 1920s revived the lustre technique, the old metallic-sheen decoration typical of sixteenth-century Deruta majolica. The factory museum thus tells, amid historic kilns and decorations, the continuity of a craft handed down over generations.
