A historic Sicilian wine family with roots going back to 1851, now run by the Rallo siblings after the long stewardship of Giacomo and Gabriella Rallo, based at the historic winery in Marsala. Its most celebrated labels come from extreme terroirs: Ben Ryé, a Pantelleria passito made from dried Zibibbo grapes, and the Etna wines made at the Contrada Marchesa estate. Alongside these are the grapes of the Contessa Entellina estate, the heart of red and white wine production in inland Sicily. The visit to the Marsala winery, amid nineteenth-century buildings and vineyards, ends with a tasting of the estate's signature labels.
