Kimbo

Melito di Napoli, Campania

Kimbo's story begins in Naples in the 1950s with Café do Brasil, the roastery founded by brothers Francesco, Gerardo and Elio Rubino; the Kimbo brand debuted in 1963, establishing itself in the 1960s with the spread of canned coffee. The plant in Melito di Napoli covers 40,000 square metres, where roasting and blending, now largely automated, still rely on human oversight for the quality of roasting and blends. Since 2009 production has been supported by the Kimbo-hub, an 18,000-square-metre logistics centre at the Nola freight terminal, confirming Kimbo's place among Italy's leading espresso brands.
