Pastificio Garofalo has roots going back to 1789 in Gragnano, the Campania town known as the City of Pasta, where it has always kept its registered office and production plant. Since 1952 the company has been linked to the Menna family, who took full control in 1997, and it now belongs to the Consortium for the Protection of Pasta di Gragnano IGP. As part of the "Pastifici Aperti" (Open Pasta Factories) initiative, the factory opens its doors to the public with guided tours tracing the production stages, from bronze-die extrusion to the slow drying required by the Pasta di Gragnano specification.
