The story of Luxardo begins in 1821 in Zadar, Dalmatia, with Girolamo Luxardo, before being reborn after the Second World War in Torreglia thanks to Giorgio Luxardo, who in 1947 found land in the Euganean Hills suited to growing marasca cherries, the sour cherry behind Maraschino. Opened in 2023 next to the production plant, the museum unfolds in five sections tracing more than two centuries of family and industrial history, from the destruction of the Dalmatian headquarters to its rebirth in the Veneto. The route displays batch copper stills, ageing vats and historic equipment, alongside the original labels of signature products such as Maraschino Originale and Sangue Morlacco.
