On the outskirts of Ancona, in the heart of the Parco del Conero, the Moroder family estate has organically grown, since 2010, the 38 hectares of vineyard surrounding the winery, founded in 1837 by descendants of a family of Trentino wood carvers. This is where the Montepulciano grapes are grown that give rise to Rosso Conero, made only in this stretch of coastline. Guided tours cross the barrel room with its large ageing vats and an old nineteenth-century cave carved into the rock, ending on a terrace overlooking the vineyards and the Adriatic. Amid oak groves, olive trees and orchards, the 62-hectare estate remains one of the most authentic interpretations of Conero wine.
