At the Casa del Cioccolato on Viale San Sisto, a few minutes from the centre of Perugia, the brand founded in 1907 tells its own story starting with the Museo Storico Perugina, before leading visitors through the aromas of the working factory. The roughly 90-minute guided tour also traces the birth of the Bacio Perugina, created in 1922 by Luisa Spagnoli and named by chocolatier Giovanni Buitoni. Among the most-loved moments is tasting a Bacio fresh off the production line, an experience that has earned the Casa del Cioccolato international recognition, including from the New York Times.
