Planeta

Born in 1995 on the initiative of the Planeta family, it has done more than any other estate to bring contemporary Sicilian winemaking to international attention. The estate grows native varieties such as Nero d'Avola, Grillo and Carricante alongside international grapes across several estates spread between Menfi, Vittoria, Noto and Etna, each with its own terroir profile. The Menfi estate, the company's historic home, houses the winemaking cellars, a restaurant and La Foresteria, the accommodation that welcomes visitors. The visit includes walks through the vineyards, the winery and guided tastings of wines from the different estates.
