In 1972 Ferruccio Sartarelli gave up plans to emigrate to Argentina to devote himself to Verdicchio, then considered just a table wine, launching a quality production in Poggio San Marcello starting from just twelve hectares. His daughter Donatella and son-in-law Patrizio have carried on his legacy, bringing the estate to its current forty hectares entirely planted with Verdicchio and exported to Europe and the United States. The winery, built around a historic farmhouse, houses the company museum In Verdicchio Veritas, which through images and documents tells the grape's evolution from its origins to contemporary success. A bright multimedia room completes the visit, designed for tastings and events dedicated to Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi Classico Superiore.
