Terre Cortesi Moncaro

Montecarotto, Marche

Founded in 1964 in Montecarotto, in the heart of the Castelli di Jesi, the Moncaro cooperative is today one of the largest wine businesses in the Marche, with around 1,600 hectares under contract and production exceeding seven million bottles a year. The name Terre Cortesi was born in 1995, when the acquisition of the Cantina del Conero in Camerano extended production to Rosso Conero too, alongside Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi and Rosso Piceno. Its three sites, in Montecarotto, Camerano and Acquaviva Picena, thus cover the region's main winegrowing areas, from the hillside vineyards to the slopes of the Conero and on to the Piceno. A cooperative model that has managed to combine large volumes with attention to quality, taking Marche wines to international markets.
