Tenimenti Grieco

Sant'Elia a Pianisi, Molise

In lower Molise, in Sant'Elia a Pianisi, the Grieco family runs a family-owned wine estate, rooted in one of the region's most suited hillside areas for winegrowing. The vineyards give rise to wines based on Tintilia, the native red grape that symbolises Molise, and Falanghina, among the most widespread white varieties in central-southern Italy. Its small, artisan-tended production reflects the identity of an area still little known but rich in winemaking potential. The cellar visit is a chance to discover up close one of the lesser-known but authentic faces of Molise winegrowing.
