The family recipe dates back to 1890, but it was in 1991 that brothers Sergio and Stefano Massa founded Villa Massa, the world's first company to produce and sell limoncello. The liqueur is made only from lemons of the Sorrento-Amalfi Coast, with no added colouring or flavouring, and is bottled to order to preserve its freshness. The visit, by appointment, combines a guided tour of the production plant with an audio-guided walk through the lemon groves, ending with a tasting of the liqueurs.
