Distilleria F.lli Caffo

Founded in 1915 by Giuseppe Caffo, the Limbadi distillery is now run by the family's fourth generation and remains the heart of production of Vecchio Amaro del Capo, born in the mid-1970s and named after Capo Vaticano, pictured on the label. The secret recipe combines 29 herbs, flowers, fruits and roots from Calabria, including bitter and sweet orange, liquorice, mandarin, chamomile and juniper. Guided tours of the plant tell more than a century of distilling history, including the department dedicated to processing Calabrian liquorice.
