Museo Amaro Lucano

Set inside the old decommissioned plant next to the new production facility, the Essenza Lucano museum tells the story of Amaro Lucano through five themed areas — Lucania, Lucano, History, Amaro and Pacchiana — starting with the aromatic garden where visitors can smell the thirty herbs in the secret recipe. The route follows the story of pastry maker Pasquale Vena, who created the brand in Pisticci in 1894, through to its recognition as a Historic Trademark of National Interest in 2021. Videos, photographs and interactive installations also bring the product's advertising history back to life.
