Bellavista was born in 1977 on the hill of the same name in Erbusco, at the wish of entrepreneur Vittorio Moretti, with the ambition of making a classic-method wine able to stand alongside Champagne. In 1978 the company patented its own bottle, and in 1981 the arrival of winemaker Mattia Vezzola marked a decisive turning point in the style and quality of its wines. Now run by Francesca Moretti, the winery remains among the most prestigious names in Franciacorta, with a close bond between vineyard and ageing. Visits trace the winemaking process and end with a tasting of the estate's historic cuvées, in a setting of great aesthetic care.
