Citra Cantine

Citra is one of Abruzzo's largest wine cooperatives, born in Ortona from the union of hundreds of member growers farming vineyards along the hillside belt between the Adriatic Sea and the Chieti hills. Production focuses on the region's signature varieties, Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, vinified at a plant that handles some of the most significant volumes in the region's winemaking. The visit offers an understanding of how a cooperative model has provided income and continuity to generations of Abruzzo winegrowing families. Citra still represents one of the driving forces of Abruzzo wine on a national and international scale.
