Founded in 1994 in Ortona by Valentino Sciotti, Farnese Vini has grown rapidly into one of Abruzzo's most internationally minded wine groups, with the Fantini brand exported to dozens of countries worldwide. The company works mainly with Montepulciano and Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, alongside a more selective line under the Casadei name, and has extended its production over the years to other southern Italian regions too. The visit to the Ortona headquarters reveals the production facilities and cellars, along with the philosophy of a group that has focused on combining large volumes with international recognition. Farnese remains today a symbol of Abruzzo wine's reach into global markets.
