Loacker

Renon (Auna di Sotto), Trentino-South Tyrol

It all began in 1925, when Alfons Loacker took over a small pastry shop in Bolzano, starting what would become one of Italy's best-known confectionery companies. In 1974 production of the famous wafers moved to the Renon plateau, in Auna di Sotto, a thousand metres above sea level, among apple orchards with views of the Sciliar. From there the brand has reached more than 110 countries worldwide, while the company shop continues to welcome those wanting to see the production site up close.
