At the Casalotto estate in Mombaruzzo, the heart of Distillerie Berta founded in Nizza Monferrato through the vision of Paolo and Lidia Berta, the museum tells almost a century of grappa history through stills, historic equipment, photographs and family objects. The route is divided into three sections — roots, grappa, people — weaving together the product, the UNESCO World Heritage landscape and the figures who shaped the company. A story running from artisan distilling to Roccanivo, the ageing method that changed the standards of the spirit in 1998.
