The OTO Melara Historical Archive, held at the Leonardo plant in La Spezia, gathers more than a century of industrial history from 1902 onward: documents, technical drawings, artefacts and a small specialist library tell the company's technological and organisational evolution. Its photographic holdings run to around 10,000 items including glass plates, negatives, prints, slides and albums, now fully digitised together with the audiovisual collection. The Associazione Museo della Melara, which runs the documentation centre housed in the plant's former south gatehouse, is part of the museum network coordinated by the Fondazione Leonardo.
