Created at the wish of Pietro Barilla and established in 1987, the Barilla Historical Archive holds more than 60,000 photographs, catalogues, films, advertising materials, packaging and documents charting the company's life from 1877 onward, with a particular concentration from the early twentieth century to today. The collection also includes the archives of Braibanti and Voiello, historic pasta makers absorbed into the Barilla group in the 1970s, and was declared of notable historical interest by the Ministry in 1998. A collection that traces, document by document, the evolution of Italy's food industry and eating habits.
