In the family vinegar loft active since 1850, now in its fifth generation, the Museo Acetaia Malpighi route passes more than 3,500 historic barrels in fine woods such as oak, chestnut, cherry and juniper, where PDO Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena matures. Amid the intense scents of the old vinegar lofts and an account of production techniques, the guided visit ends with a tasting of different types of balsamic vinegar. It welcomes more than twenty thousand visitors from around the world every year.
