The story of Cantine Lunae Bosoni is intertwined with that of the Bosoni family and Vermentino in the Colli di Luni, between Ortonovo and Castelnuovo Magra, not far from the ancient Roman city of Luni that gives the estate its name. Passing into the hands of Paolo Bosoni in 1966, and now in its fifth generation, the winery produced the Etichetta Grigia at that time, its first single-varietal Vermentino and still among its best-known labels. Its 80 hectares of vineyard, grown at 250 metres above sea level at the foot of the Apuan Alps, are dedicated 70% to Vermentino, alongside native varieties such as Albarola, Vermentino Nero and Pollera Nera. A national benchmark for this variety, Lunae combines hand-harvesting with natural farming practices, respecting an area unique in its history and soil and climate characteristics.
