Founded in 1860 by Cleto Chiarli, it is Emilia-Romagna's oldest winery, born as a natural extension of the family's inn, where they sold the Lambrusco they made themselves. Chiarli was the first in the area to introduce the Charmat method, and a hundred years after its founding his great-grandsons Mauro and Anselmo launched the Centenario label. Production is now based at the Tenuta Cialdini in Castelvetro di Modena, family property for more than 130 years and the heart of the Lambrusco Grasparossa di Castelvetro denomination. The visit to the historic winery traces this long tradition and offers a tasting of the different Modena Lambruschi, from Sorbara to Grasparossa.
