In the Conca d'Oro of Panzano, the Manetti family has run this estate — a symbol of organic farming in the Chianti Classico — since 1968, where Sangiovese vines alternate with pastures for Chianina cattle, whose manure fertilises the soil together with pruning compost. It was here that Flaccianello della Pieve was born in 1981, among the first great Tuscan wines from a single, single-varietal Sangiovese vineyard. The visit, by appointment, crosses the vine rows and the winery through to the barrel room, ending with a guided tasting of the estate's wines.
