Founded in 1807, the winery grew from the vision of Marchesa Juliette Colbert, the first to grasp the potential of Nebbiolo grown on the hills of Barolo. Its historic cellars, facing the Falletti family's Renaissance castle, occupy the former Tenuta dell'Opera Pia Barolo estate and hold centuries-old barrels used to age traditional Barolo. Now run by the Abbona family, the winery grows around 120 hectares of Nebbiolo and Barbera vines in the heart of the Langhe. The visit includes the underground ageing cellars and a tasting of the estate's wines.
