Winery Ornellaia
Castagneto Carducci (Bolgheri), Tuscany
Founded in 1981 by the Marquis Lodovico Antinori and later passed to Robert Mondavi, since 2005 Ornellaia has belonged to the Frescobaldi family, winegrowers for seven hundred years, who have made it one of the icons of Bolgheri. The first Ornellaia came out with the 1985 vintage, made from vineyards spread between the historic estate on Via Bolgherese and the Bellaria area. The Ornellaia Vintage Experience guides visitors through the vine rows and the winery, ending with a tasting of the current vintage alongside the range's other wines, such as Le Volte and Le Serre Nuove.
