Paolo Leo

A family wine estate in San Donaci, in the Salento, run by the Leo family on vineyards largely converted to organic farming. Production centres on Primitivo and Negroamaro, grown on the red soils typical of the area between Brindisi and Lecce, alongside other native varieties such as Susumaniello. Among the labels that made the estate known is "Passitivo", a sweet wine made from dried Primitivo grapes. The winery organises visits and tastings to tell the story of the bond between the land, old grape varieties and sustainable farming practices.
