Founded in 1880 by Leonildo Pieropan in the ancient Palazzo Pullici, in the heart of the medieval village of Soave, the estate is now run by the family's fourth generation and is considered one of the pioneers of quality Soave Classico. Its vineyards, certified organic since 2008, spread over volcanic and limestone soils that give the wines their characteristic minerality, with Garganega and Trebbiano di Soave hand-harvested between September and October. Winemaking still takes place in the village's historic centre, in temperature-controlled glass-lined concrete tanks. The visit reveals this direct bond between the wine and Soave's urban landscape.
