Ziccat

Turin, Piedmont

Founded in 1958 on Corso Palermo and now working out of a renovated workshop on Via Bardonecchia, Ziccat is one of Turin's historic artisan chocolate makers. The 90-minute guided visit, designed to suit families with children aged six and up, alternates the history of chocolate with live demonstrations: making hollow shapes such as Easter eggs, coating chocolates and hand-wrapping them, ending with a final tasting. The work is led by master chocolatiers such as Alexis Rosso, with the company for more than twenty years, and Lorenzo Melchiorre, who has also worked at Ferran Adrià's ElBulli restaurant.
